Frame Care Guide
Your OPTICA frames are crafted from premium materials that reward proper care. Follow this guide to keep them looking and feeling as good as the day you received them.
Daily Cleaning
The Right Way
Use the microfibre cloth included with your frames. Breathe lightly on the lenses to create a light mist, then wipe in a circular motion from the centre outwards. For a deeper clean, rinse with lukewarm water and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry with the cloth.
Never use your shirt, tissue, or paper towel — these materials are abrasive and will scratch even the best lens coatings over time.
What to Avoid
- Hot water (above 60°C) — can warp acetate frames
- Solvents, ammonia, or alcohol-based cleaners
- Rough cloths or paper products
- Ultrasonic cleaners (for coated lenses)
Titanium Frames
Our titanium frames are extremely durable and hypoallergenic. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Titanium is resistant to corrosion and sweat, making it ideal for everyday wear. Avoid bending the temples — while titanium is flexible, repeated stress can cause metal fatigue.
Acetate Frames
Acetate is a natural, plant-based material that can be affected by extreme heat and harsh chemicals. Keep acetate frames away from car dashboards, saunas, and direct sunlight for extended periods. If frames lose their shape, visit an optician — gentle heat can restore the original fit.
Storage
Always store your frames in the hard case when not in use, temples folded inward. Avoid placing frames lens-down on any surface. If you carry them in a bag, use the case — keys and coins are the enemy of good lenses.
1-Year Warranty
All OPTICA frames come with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers faulty hinges, loose nose pads, and material defects — not damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear. To claim, email warranty@optica.ma with your order number and a photo.
Professional Adjustments
Frames that feel loose, tight, or uneven can be adjusted by any optician for free. We recommend a professional adjustment rather than trying to bend frames yourself — especially titanium, which can snap if bent incorrectly.
